Ticketmaster issues? Taylor Swift’s opener Gayle quips she doesn’t have a ticket either?
The singer has been criticized both here and abroad for her decision to headline her second Las Vegas show at the Mandalay Bay Resort.
Taylor Swift’s first show sold out almost immediately after it was announced, but the singer has since been forced to turn away fans who did not have tickets.
Swift’s fans have been left frustrated at the show over ticket-touting, with one person taking to YouTube to reveal the reason behind the star’s decision to use a ticket-selling service.
She captioned a photo of an email she received: “OMG, can’t believe this!” while another fan, @Frosty_Momma, said: “Swift’s going to do this twice? She’s never done this before!”
A third user, @LizHornberger, added: “She used Ticketmaster to sell those tickets. She’s a nutjob and only cares about making money. Not gonna lie, I was a little excited to buy a ticket the first time.”
A fourth fan, @JennyHills, wrote: “I’m so disappointed in her. The tickets aren’t even for sale. She’s a total sellout.”
Taylor Swift has responded to the criticism, telling the Associated Press: “The tickets were sold to fans, and their details were listed on our website. She’s not selling tickets to anyone.”
Taylor Swift has responded to the criticism, telling the Associated Press: “I wish fans understood that I’m not the one that decided to do this concert. In the past, I’ve had to buy a lot of tickets I couldn’t afford to do it myself. Tickets to my shows have always had to be sold to me by other fans.”
I can understand the frustration at not being able to afford to do her “own” ticket buying, but not doing it herself is not a bad thing
